Upgrade to Version 5.5.3

MS*Health Software Corp. has released version 5.5.3of MS*Health/CMHC for Windows. Please read the accompanying license agreement before installing the update and agreeing to its provisions. Your software version must be 5.5.2 before performing this upgrade. If you have already upgraded to version 5.5.3 please do not attempt to install the update and call tech support for assistance.

 

New Features

 

Changes in NPI Implementation -  The National Provider Identifier functionality has been changed to conform to May 23rd, 2008 standards. A new NPI field has been added as follows:

 

Organization Info – Agency Taxonomy Code

 

Electronic Claims 837 transactions have been modified to send the NPI as required.

 

ReCheck Interface – We have added additional fields in Admin - Options to facilitate an optional interface to the on-line ReCheck Eligibility Verification System by F.G.A. Inc. Please contact technical support to find out more about his valuable new service that permits real-time checking of Medicaid and other payor member eligibility.

 

Medicare as Secondary Payor –  We have added additional internal fields and modifications to accommodate a forthcoming update that will address the issue of re-billing rejected/partially paid services to Medicare.

 

Miscellaneous:

 

  • Added fields and internal logic to allow custom billing of flat rate charges. Please contact tech support for more info.

Upgrade Procedures

  1. Read these releases notes in their entirety.
  2. Verify you have a good backup of the application.
  3. Check the version number in “help…about”. If it is not version 5.5.2, do not continue. You must update to version 5.5.2 before continuing with this update.
  4. Be sure no other users are accessing the application, and turn off user security.
  5. Point your web browser to http://downloads.mshealth.com/c553upg.exe You will be prompted for your support ID password, which you should have received via e-mail from MS*Health Technical Support.
  6. When prompted, select "Run this program from its current location"0
  7. Follow the prompts. When prompted for an installation directory, enter or change folder to the directory where MS*Health CMHC 5.x is currently installed. When prompted for “setup-type”, select “custom” and click “next”. All features will be selected for installation by default. Follow remaining prompts.
  8. You will be advised of successful completion. If the update fails, or any error messages appear, please call technical support for further assistance. You may not be able to access the application after an unsuccessful update attempt.
  9. Start the application and verify that menu security is properly set up. New menus and menu-items added to security will default to disabled. Re-enable user security if applicable.
  10. IN Data Manager, change label of field DADIR in table C4CTL_V to “Agency Taxonomy Code”

License Grant

You (the licensee) are granted a nontransferable, non-exclusive limited license to use this software to upgrade

and make current an earlier version of an already licensed and installed copy of the software. The original

“major” version level, the number before the first period as shown in “help-about”, must be the same as the “major” version level of this upgrade.

 

The number of user accounts that can be created, as well as the number of simultaneous or concurrent users is

limited by your original license count, if any. You are permitted to create copies of the software for archival

backup purposes only.

 

Limited Warranty

This program and any reference materials are made available "as is" without warranty as to their performance, merchantability, or

fitness for any particular purpose. You assume the entire risk as to the results and performance of this product.

 

Any implied warranties relating to the supplied media, if any, including any implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a

particular purpose, are limited to a period of ninety days from the date of purchase.

The Warranty and the Software License shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without reference to principles of conflict of laws.
